random-ass update of bad things
When it rains, it pours. I think I've said that before, here or at my LJ... or maybe myspace.

Yesterday Adia and I decided to take a leisurely trip to Phoenix, which is about an hour and a half north of where I live. About forty minutes into the trip, right near a little thing... town or whatever it is, called Toltec, kaboom. Radiator in my car goes boom. Well at this point we're not sure what it really is. It overheated horribly is all I know.

So Adia and I are stuck at the Chevron/McDonalds for an hour and a half while John gets tools and drives to meet us. Needless to say we both fail at making the car go. Lame. And it ruined my happy little mini-holiday. Fucking car.

So on the way back John, who we all know and accept the fact that he's an asshole, starts being a jerk to a cop who was driving behind him. When the cop went to pass him, John sped up so the cop couldn't pass. So what happened? Well if you said "Pulled over" then you guessed right! Luckily, though he IS a jerkoff, the cop let him go with just a warning. It might have to do with the fact that a semi-respecable, if not slightly frazzled woman and her baby were in the car with him and not some drug-dealing punk.

We get to John's mum's house, John buys a new radiator for my car. We eat pizza and then Adia and I go home to wait while John and his butt-fuck-buddy go to try and fix it. They fail. He comes home all angry and yelling at me for taking a trip. He's an asshole.

Then about four am I wake up to severe stomach pains. Then some ickiness ensues. Oh yes, my friends, I have E.Coli. And it sucks my left nut, let me tell you. So now I'm in my house, suffering, the baby is cranky and John is off trying to tow my car back home so they might (or might not) be able to fix it.

Boo.

Me = Fail at Life.

So sorry you had such a sucky day.

I really really hope you don't have actual E Coli. Have you seen a doctor? "Garden variety" food poisoning, so to speak, is thoroughly miserable, but E Coli can be potentially permanently damaging or fatal. If that's what's affected you, you really truly need immediate treatment. You especially don't want to take a chance with Adia becoming infected. It's particularly dangerous to infants.

If you did contract an E Coli infection, you also need to be sure it is reported and investigated to prevent a general outbreak.

I went to the hospital and it was confirmed e.coli :( They sent me home though, because it's a mild case and I'm not suffering any extreme symptoms or dehydration. So far Adia's not sick and they weren't able to find any traces of it in my house so it's likely when I ate out. Or something. *shrug* I honestly have no idea where I could've picked it up.

I'm being monitored though, but so far all is well. Just sucky sucky and being laid up in bed.

Oh, how perfectly rotten.

I'm so glad you've seen the medicos. I've worried since I saw your post. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery and continued health for the rest of the household.
