Please just consider this
So I've come to realise that on this journal I don't talk a lot about what I'm very passionate about (aside from slash and Alan Rickman heh). A few things happen to be Animal rights, and I'm not a vegetarian but I don't eat caged animal products. Equal rights, equal education rights, and... this big one that I've been campaigning against in RL for a while:

The end of diamond sales. Because all diamonds purchased are blood diamonds. If you go to a diamond park and dig up your own, fine. But if you go into Zales or Fredrick's or Jared, you're buying a blood diamond and supporting the desecration and torture of innocent Africans.

Like the article says, the only way to stop blood diamonds is to stop buying them. Boycott diamonds!

(What is the price for these diamonds)

Besides, Opals are way prettier than diamonds!

Now, if you want to comment to argue against my point, please don't. Whatever your logic on THAT is, it's not going to change my mind. I've been round and round those arguments too many times and at this point I'm just going to ignore it.

But please, look over the articles and see what the diamond industry is doing to these men, women and children. Think about this next time you ask for that tennis bracelet for your next anniversary. Please!
